**READY FOR AN ADVENTURE WITH A DIFFERENCE?** Camping, swimming and bog snorkelling Join us from 28-31 August 2026 for a weekend in Wales filled with unique experiences—swimming, walking, and participating in the 37th annual Bog Snorkelling Championships! What is bog snorkelling - Well...... its simply doggy paddling with fins using a mask and snorkle for 110metres in a water filled ditch in a field - that's it ........what is there not to like. EVERYONE IS WELCOME EVEN IF THEY DON'T WISH TO ENTER THE CHAMPIONSHIPS BUT WANT A WEEKEND OF DIPPING IN BEAUTIFUL SPOTS Friday - Arrive at the campsite in the afternoon and then go for the first of our swims following by drinks and smores. Saturday - Two swims in the local area. There are local restaurants/takeaways that can be be booked for your evening meal if you do not wish to cook yourself a meal at the campsite. Sunday - Catch the minibus to the Bog snorkelling field and enjoy the most wonderfully whacky day out. The event takes place at Waen Rydd bog on the outskirts of the town, getting underway at about 10am. There are food and drink stalls, crafts, live music and a real ale and cider bar on the site, so it's a great day out even if you don't fancy taking the plunge. Monday - Travel home. 8 spaces available What's included: 3 nights camping per night for one tent or one van - if extra awning/gazebo/pup tent required its a further £10 a night Guided swims in 3 different locations - weather permitting. Drinks and smores on the day of arrival Minibus to event Entry into the event Qualified Swim Host What's not included: Travel to/from the swim locations apart from the Bog Snorkelling event Any further meals/food/drinks required Personal expenses Travel insurance Personal clothing and equipment Bog snorkelling T shirts or fudge at the best fudge stall ever ! REQUIREMENTS: It will be cold in the water so you must be able to swim and feel comfortable with the idea of swimming outdoors. Aged 18+. DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY TRAVEL TO/FROM ACCOMODATION.
